20th Century Fox Original Title Lobby Card (11x14) Very Good Plus Condition
20th Century Fox Original Title Lobby Card (11x14) for the Otto Preminger directed film IN THE MEANTIME, DARLING (1944) starring Jeanne Crain, Frank Latimore, Eugene Pallette and Jane Randolph. Jeanne Crain was, in 1944, coming on as one of Fox's big stars. Preminger was working for Zanuck at Fox, demonstrating that he could be a useful director for the studio. Jeanne Crain plays a girl from a privileged family who is, during wartime hardships, having a hard time getting accustomed to living in a boarding house, enduring the deprivations that rationing and other restrictions imposes. Can she adjust -- and keep her husband? One of many homefront films that the studio made to address the concerns of domestic sacrifices during the war. Preminger proved himself valuable to Zanuck. And since this was the first film for which Jeanne Crain received top billing, we can assume she did well with it. This title card is graded in very good plus condition. There is a light crease in the upper border area extending into the image. It is a theater-used card, colors are vivid and the card shows signs of gentle wear. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this title card is an authentic U.S. poster for this film. MovieArt Austin will sell no reproductions.
